7 months old!

Sorry all I post on here is Georgias monthly updates! I really loved doing this with Everett so I want to make sure she gets the same.

7months

She is crawling and sitting up like a pro. I know I mentioned that last month. She amazes me because she never army crawled, or even scooted. She mainly rolled around. And once she figured out how to sit up from a laying position, crawling up on all fours followed.
She has started eating vegetables. She nurses a lot. She likes to scratch and tug at the skin around my collar bone and neck while she eats. Its really painful! Stinker.
She has just started to follow me around and want to be right next to me. We tried to get away on a vacation, just Chris and I (we had a wedding to be at in Flagstaff), but she refused a bottle from my mom the whole first day so we had to come back. That was such a bummer.

I am thinking she may be a little shy. She is a little serious, and when others say hi or talk to her she will smile shyly and bury her head in my shoulder.
Still no teeth. Still up all the time at night. Still as content as can be wherever we go.

She loves her brother. She will laugh at everything he does. Everett is really into puzzles and as soon as he dumps one out on the floor she "runs" to them to try and steal every piece. Its hilarious! Even when they are built she will sit on the puzzle, I think just to be funny.

Look at their hairs! RED HAIR!

I love this little angel. Her skin is so soft and smooth. Her eyes are so light, sometimes almost light grey and yellow. I wonder if they will be green. Her hair is getting longer and definitely strawberry blonde. She is such a sweet little pumpkin. So easy going. I love this little baby! I just wish....she would sleep....haha.

6 months old!

Happy Half Birthday Georgia Rue!
This baby is such a little peach. How fitting :)

6months
When she was born my nephew Ryan called her Georgia Kiwi and that is what Chris calls her now.
This past month she has been so mobile. Crawling, sitting up, into everything you can imagine. She loves to sit next to Everett as he does his puzzles and eat the pieces. I taught Everett to ask "please get Georgia out of my space" (vs pushing her away) and he can't say his "sp" very well, they come out as "f" so often I hear him yelling "Please get Georgia out of my face!" Their bond is so sweet. He adores her. He will go to her room first thing in the morning (because she is usually waking him up), and he hangs on her crib chatting with her.

Untitled

Untitled Georgia is very vocal. She talks a lot, but surprisingly doesn't full on laugh often, only for her brother. She still nurses often, doesn't like the bottle or food yet. She wakes at least twice a night.  She is 17lbs.  She is so chubby and her skin is so soft and smooth. Little butterball.

Our favorite thing about G right now is her little eyes. She is so squinty. Haha. She flirts with them too, by making those eyelids heavy so she can barely see, and almost snorting through her nose. She loves to scrunch her nose up with she smiles.

3 months old

IMG_3221

Georgia is 3 months old!
And this is 3 weeks late! ha.

Oh my sweet Georgia girl. My honey girl. My golden girl. My Georgie Porgie. She is happy and content. She loves to be moving. She loves her brother, who loves her even more. She tries to suck her hands. She rolled tummy to back for daddy while mommy was gone. She blows raspberries and coos. She kicks her legs and sticks her tongue out if you do it first. She is a gassy little thing and can clear a room...sorry Georgia for telling everyone that.
She fights a bottle and a pacifier (which is no good for the times I have to shoot weddings). She is drooly and spits up a ton. She sleeps good at night and prefers to sleep on her belly. She doesn't cry much unless she is hungry or gets poked in the eye by her overly affectionate brother. She loves bath time and pees every time she gets in the water. She has yet to laugh but smiles all day long. Her eyes couldn't be any bluer. She loves her daddy, who is cautious with the wee little babies but now that she's a chunk he can't get enough.
She had her first hospital stay this month because of a high fever. She has already been to the zoo three times.  Stroller, car rides, and the ergo are her jam. She is in the nursery at church now and is always swinging away happily when we pick her up (good girl for not crying).
She is a joy. She is my baby. I will treasure every moment and first with her!

Georgia's Nursery

We had a lot of fun doing this girly nursery. I knew I wanted gold, grays, white and a little pink.  We did the gold striped walls (inspired by the backside of a Christmas card we got!) pretty soon after finding out it was a girl. We used a mustard yellow base color followed by Martha Stewarts metallic gold paint from Home Depot. There are 64 tape lines. It took forever to tape. Maybe 3 days, because it was such a tiring process we needed a lot of breaks!

IMG_2944 (I should've straightened the crib skirt. its bugging me.) The tassel garlands were used at my baby shower. The crib skirt was Everetts, I sewed white ruffles onto it. IMG_2950

Georgia- One Month old

10days

IMG_9505

Georgia turned one month old on 3/21. Her first month was easier on me than I thought it would be, but hard on her in some ways. We had to stay an extra day at the hospital for jaundice, and then when we got home we found out it worsened and she had to be on the bili-blanket and get heel pricks for a week. Poor thing.
She reminds me of Everett in a lot of ways. I think they look a lot a like! She is more serious though. I know I had photos of Everett smiling in his sleep at this age, and she rarely does that. Her eyes focus really well and I talk to her all day long trying to get a smile but I have yet to get one!
She sleeps fine at night and a lot during the day. She breastfeeds like a pro, she had zero issues with that (I didn't either! yay). We did supplement for the jaundice, so she takes a bottle as well. I am thankful for that! I do have sessions and weddings I am shooting soon so she will need to take one.
Everett just adores her. He constantly talks to her and is doting on her. He asks all the time when she can play!
She weighed 7lbs 15oz at her one month appointment. Still in newborn clothes. She is my little peanut.

I don't want to forget:
  • How strong this little girl is! Always holding her neck up to look around.
  • How blue her eyes are already! They are so light! I hope they stay!
  • what a noisy little nose breather she is
  • How she immediately falls asleep in the car, only after screaming from being put in her seat
