Easter

I thought it would be cute to paint my belly. I should've had Chris do it, but he was napping so I did it myself real quick. It looks ghetto....and the word "baby" was done with my finger looking in the mirror (so writing it backwards). Whatever, I just wanted a photo :)

We had such a great Easter Sunday. Seriously, it was one of my most favorite Easters ever.

We had both sides of the family come over, and my mom and sister made most of the food (with a little help from me). It was so yummy.

Then after our big meal, we went down to the green belt area behind our house to have an egg hunt for the kids. Chris was so excited to put this together. He picked out all the candy and put all the eggs together the day before. It was complete with a Golden egg, which had a very special prize, a 5 dollar bill. The kids had a lot of fun! It was so cute seeing them so excited to hunt eggs!

Olivia is married!

My sister in law is married! I couldn't be happier for her and her new hubby, Mike!

They had a gorgeous wedding this past weekend, and a fabulous party afterward, complete with me getting down on the dance floor. Yes I am 9 months pregnant. And no, it did absolutely nothing to make the baby budge. I don't even think I got a contraction from it.

As of late.

Man. I just haven't felt like myself lately. I'm beyond tired at moments, and other moments I am fine. Some days I am happy and other days watch out. Little miss grumpy pants takes over.

I hate this. I hate that how I feel and my moods are so drastic. I feel crazy most days! (sometimes I think I am going crazy).

I think if I were to sum up these last 4 weeks of pregnancy it would be: PMS. I feel like how I would the week before my period comes: annoyed, grouchy, tired, crampy, weepy and irritable.

Can I just make an announcement now to apologize to everyone for this?? I want to be a sweet girl again too. I'm sorry if I haven't been.

Last night and today I was having some serious pain. My whole belly ached so bad, and I was having serious menstrual like cramps. They were mainly in my lower back and legs. I didn't keep track of the contractions, because it really hurt! I am now officially worried about myself and my pain tolerance. How am I going to do this?? I'm freaking out. Yikes.

Last week I was a "model" for some ultrasound students at the hospital I am delivering at. I found out about it through my birthing class.

I thought it would be a great chance to get one last look at the baby before we meet him! I was so grateful to see his face. although it was a very fast ultrasound, and the students just had to find and measure his heartbeat, which seemed very easy for everyone since he is so big and his back is right up against my belly. I was SO excited when the first girl put the wand very low on my belly and said, "head". Phew! He is head down (hopefully for good??). I have been having a hard time figuring out what body part I am feeling, and to know his feet were on my left side, back on the right, head and hands down low makes me feel like I know whats going on in there!

They got a really good look at his face for me. He had his hands in his mouth the whole time, except for one moment they were out and he was sucking and searching for them! It was so sweet. He looks like he has big lips.

One thing that freaked me out was they kept saying "her" and "she" when referring to the baby. Finally, I asked for them to make sure I am still having a boy. They looked, there's no doubt its actually a "he"!

I think since last week he has flipped, not upside down but definitely switched sides. I noticed after the ultrasound his hiccups were always on my right (just that week, they haven't always been) but then, driving in the car last night I felt a big movement, it took my breath away (ok I screamed :). Then about an hour later, his hiccups were on my left. I just hope his head stays down!

baby shower #2!

My close group of girlfriends that I met through the first salon I worked at (over 2 years ago, and we are still as close as ever), threw me a little dinner shower at Joes Farm Grill! I loved this place, the atmosphere, and how you can sit outside and enjoy the big trees and nice weather. Well, of course the one night we go it is pouring rain! I was so upset about this, I know its crazy, but we still had a great time!

and why don't I eat here more often? their fried zucchini and bbq chicken pizza were amazing!!

April showers...

brings a May baby :) My mom, sister and close family friend threw me a shower with close friends and family. We had it at my house, and it was a storybook/nursery rhyme theme. I thought it was cute and subtle, since I really hate themed things (which is why some would say our nursery isn't very "babyish").

Thanks everyone for making me feel so special! I know my son will be so loved!

He got lots of cute outfits and many books for his library! I am still going through everything and finding homes for things! I am loving "nesting" in his room. Here I am, 33 weeks! (now almost 35, its getting soooo close!)

Still missing a changing pad, and we have added curtains. Can't wait to show it to our little man!

I am so behind on blogging, here and on my photography blog. I'm just so tired...and I kinda feel like I am getting boring on here always taking about baby stuff. Oh well, I hope you can love me through it.
