Christmas 2012

Christmas this year was an absolute blast. Everett was really excited and into opening gifts. He is a huge Elmo and Yo Gabba Gabba fan, and anytime his gifts were those two he would say "Cool!". It was so funny. He is in a really big copycat phase so he is learning new phrases all the time.

Christmas at my dads:

 

 Christmas Eve was just the three of us. We had snacks, watched a movie, put out cookies and milk for Santa, opened our Christmas jammies, and sang "Silent Night" to Everett before bed (he hated that, ha!). 

Christmas morning we let Everett open his gifts and stocking. We got him a few toys and a train table.

 Later we went to my moms for brunch (i made the cinnamon rolls, and my mom cooks everything else, she is such a great cook!)

GIlbert Balloon Festival

Last Friday evening, after a busy afternoon, we went to the Gilbert Balloon Festival with some of Chris' co-workers (ok, his boss!). They had tickets and a parking pass and wanted to share with us! It was a nice evening. Everett had a lot of fun seeing the "boons" as he calls them! He also loved the fire, he actually is quiet fond of fire already...scary.

Hello December!

Heres what we have been up to this month:

these were taken last night after dinner. it was spaghetti which is why is he shirtless ;)

he thinks he's 5.

Usually we take a daily walk to the lake in our neighborhood, and try to make friends with the ducks by throwing them small pieces of bread. They don't like people yet but Chris and I are determined to make them friendly. There is a little park next to the lake that is basically two swings and one giant slide. I let Everett run around in the sand yesterday when I saw him make his way toward that 8 foot tall slide.

He went up and down all by himself (seeing him push his little booty forward so he goes down is so cute). It gave me a little heart attack, but I was so proud of my brave boy. He is getting too big too fast!
