Probably TMI

So I am missing church right now. If I told you why, it would be TMI just like how I posted on Facebook that I found a whisker on my face...and Chris told me to NEVER write something like that again on a public site.
I can't help it. I am not shy or reserved when it comes to personal stuff. I don't get embarrassed or grossed out easily. I mean, I pop pimples and do Brazilian waxes for a living. Most people would be grossed out. Once when I was doing extractions on a young girl with acne, her zit popped with such force it flew and landed in my nose. And I didn't even freak out.

So back to missing church. I have been off the pill for months now. My cycle has been regular up until this month. I was 5 days late. I had my hopes up thinking, "this was it". I didn't want to take a test because they have only been negative and I always get so let down. Now, we are not actively trying to get pregnant (since my hubby doesn't want kids, like ever. Which is a whole other post, heartache, prayer request in itself.....sigh) but I went off BC because the side affects were getting to be too much. Migraines, pain during you know what, nausea with the start of each new pack (I threw up in my car once). The only good thing about BC was easy periods. Today I am in such pain from cramps I don't even want to get out of bed. I haven't experienced this pain since before we married almost 3 years ago. Hole-y Mole-y. Now with each passing month and 'aunt flow' not only do I have pain, but I can't help with be hurt emotionally. I now think of months in terms of when my due date would be. May be dumb or over-thinking everything, but in the back of my mind is that thought, making me sad. Dumb periods.

Many of you who know us know we were supposed to start trying for a baby this past Christmas. That didn't happen. I don't know what to do. Please keep me and my husband in your prayers since the thought of never being a mom is really breaking my heart. Any advice will also be greatly appreciated :)

I have wanted a bib necklace for a while now. I finally messed around with stuff enough to figure out how to make one myself!

old souls.

Yesterday morning I got up early for a photoshoot. I was in the bathroom when I looked out the window and saw my two precious pups cuddled and watching the sunrise.
We always say they are two old married souls.

I had to take the photo through the blinds so they wouldn't notice me :)

the aftermath

of my faulty brow wax. Please don't judge my sweet esthetician skills, I swear I am always good with wax. I am glad I did this to myself not to someone else :)

Notice the 2 huge holes in my left eyebrow. I am very thankful they grow back SO fast!

its only Wednesday!

Man this week is just not going too well. Its just turrible (as Charles Barkley would say).
Nothing too serious is going on. Its
just another series of incidents that add up...

Work has been slow. Its killing me to sit around.
Chris has been slammed at work. He is there all the time, not being able to come home til after 7 every night. I miss him!
Its raining, which always makes me depressed. I really don't like rain. I need me some Vitamin D!
I broke a mirror yesterday. Whoops.
I had coupons to use at WalMart and the cashier would honor them because I already swiped my debit card. After arguing, he pretended to scan them...then handed me my receipt. Jerk.
I waxed my eyebrows yesterday and took the biggest chunk out of one of them. I have never done that, not to me or to a client. It looks REALLY bad.
I have been working out, but I get sick afterwards. Its discouraging.
Cards are out of the playoffs. I feel like I should care even though I kinda don't.
I had a whisker on my cheek today. I can thank my great aunt Ruth.
I ordered a phone cover 3 MONTHS ago on Amazon, it came yesterday and was the wrong color ("white" to me doesnt mean clear. Apparently it is.)

Ok now I will look on the bright side!

24 is back on!
Michael C Hall won the best actor Golden Globe for Dexter!
iheartradio is now available for the Droid!
I get my hair done tomorrow!
My massage on Monday was amazing!
I had an awesome shoot on Sunday!
Kristen Chenoweth is the guest judge on American Idol! I love her! She won an Emmy for Pushing Daisys which was cancelled, even though it was a great show.
My house is clean!
My car is clean thanks to the rain!

why,

Does meatloaf look like a creature when it comes out of the oven?? Seriously its the ugliest food ever.

Photobucket

Oh but I love it. Its so yummy. Except for when you buy a McCormicks seasoning packet to put in it and forget. And when instead of breadcrumbs you use fresh bread.
Oh well still tasted fine :)

I love.

Oh my goodness I got a new camera lens last night (I got a good deal via amazon), and I.am.in.love.
I hated my Sony two days ago. Now I have a lens I can use indoors without any digital noise. Who knew?? (well apparently not me until someone made a recommendation). I thought it was just my camera, or myself causing the noisy photos. Now I am pleased to know both are ok, I just needed one more piece of equipment.

Hey Chris, Can I try my new lens out on you??
Photobucket

No? okay.

sweat it out.

I am not good at working out. I hate it in fact.
Why is it that I work with a bunch of skinny minnies who love working out?? I mean for real, no one loves working out. Thats a oxymoron if I ever heard one. All they talk about is how they are going to go to the gym and only eat a banana for lunch. Well not all of them, but the really skinny ones do. I guess thats how they stay skinny. So then here I am, a little skinny fat girl who feels really fat around them, and who doesn't belong to a gym!
I realized how out of shape I am when I went hiking a couple weeks ago with girlfriends. I had to take breaks, drink lots of water, kept waiting for someone else to complain before I did. Then I finally told them to go ahead, I would be fine resting.
They took of sprinting. WOW I was holding them back that much!
I need to exercise...especially if I want to bounce back after pregnancy one day. I decided to take advantage of the little clubhouse we have in our neighborhood. I am trying to use the Elliptical thing about 4x a week. I was trying to wake up early and go, but I am lazy in the mornings. I found if I go at night I am less likely to snack late like I usually do. But then I smell and I hate showering at night PLUS I don't want to stink around my husband...since the pm is when I ever see him.
Whats a girl to do? Working out is the pits! I wonder if I will ever love it!

last supper

While in Mexico we found a really cool art store. We saw this one of The Last Supper and had to have it! I Growing up I remember my grandparents having this in their dining room, I can see it in my head now! I am excited to have this for years to come.

Football.

We all know I am no football fan. The only reasons I have ever loved football were:
  1. Superbowl Parties.
  2. Yummy food at Superbowl parties.
  3. Funny commercials at the Superbowl.
  4. Halftime show at the Superbowl.
  5. Basically just the Superbowl. And food.
Today Chris took me to my first football game. He got tickets through work and the seats were really great from what I understand. 50 yard line on club level. I will admit, I had a lot of fun. He watches the Cardinals religiously and sometimes I will sit and watch for as long as I can stand it. But actually being at the game is a whole other experience...WOW. I thought the excitment was contagious and it was easier to understand what was going on while seeing it live.
Who knows maybe football is growing on me :)

Photobucket

Me in my new shirt I had to buy last night before the game. You sure stand out when you don't wear red!

Photobucket
When we were sitting waiting for the game to start, I noticed Mark Grace from the Dbacks walk in and sit in front of us. I knew who he was right away...since back in the day when the Diamondbacks were good I kept up with them (call me a bandwagon fan, whatever I probably am for the Cards too). I told Chris and he kept saying it wasn't him. It was funny he was with a big group of people and they would hug after every good play...like stand there in a long embrace....kinda awkward. When the game ended Chris asked him if he'd take a picture with me, and he said yes. Then Chris laughed and said, "You just took a picture with a random drunk guy!!!" I think its him :)
Photobucket
Actually I know its him! That made my day!

What a fun experience and a great game! I hope they do well next week. I am glad I can wear that shirt at least one more time this season.

500 Days

Of Summer. Yep, the movie. I loved it! Ah absolutely loved it (and if you the main actor in it, Josh Gordon Levitt, you must watch The Lookout. SO GOOD).
I loved how real it was. Think about it, only one of our relationships will end in marriage (hopefully), so why does every love story on film end like that??
I bawled at the end, thinking back on how hard heartache can be. Then I rolled over and looked at my husband, and was so in love with him. The security of marriage is awesome!

Ok on to our next movie...we are such movie buffs around here. Seriously its all we do. We are going to cancel our cable because all we do is lay in bed watching movies on the laptop. love.

Hallway

Photobucket

This was what I got Chris for Christmas (looks MUCH better in person. This wide angle lens makes it look little) Actually I was pretty selfish because its a project I have been wanting to do, I just wrapped it up for Chris. I also gave him framed photos for his desk at work. Can you see why I felt like a jerk when I unwrapped a massage gift certificate, perfume and a new purse??!
I mean, I thought all the shopping we had done prior to Christmas counting as our gift.
I know I am a crummy wife!

Welcome 2010!!

2009 was an 'eh' year. We experienced a lot of hard times within our family, marriage, and jobs, but as of today all those issues are greatly improved. Praise God! I feel like 2010 is already onto a great start.

The beginning of the year we joined a new church. We love it there and are looking forward to building more and more relationships. In February we went to Rocky Point with friends and had a great time. We hope to do that again this year:
<span class=
In May we celebrated our 2nd anniversary. Around this time we also tried to move to Northern California without success, but it is still a dream of ours. We went on our first cruise and LOVED it. This was the best trip we have ever taken, by far, and hope to cruise again soon (maybe to Alaska!)
On that trip we saw New Orleans, Key West, FL and the Bahamas:

In the summer I changed jobs. It was a hard transition. I went from full time and making good money to part time and some days working for free. It has all paid off now, and I love my new job and have never been happier in my career. Chris also move stores and he is now climbing up the ladder in his career like you wouldn't believe. He blows my mind and is so successful! I never thought he would be in this place at such a young age.
He surprised me with a trip to California in the summer and we got away for a few days:
<span class=<span class=
For Labor Day we went to Vegas with friends for a couple days. Vegas is very entertaining, and I love the shopping!
<span class=
I forgot to post this when we took it, its Chris with SpongeBob, he thought all the nephews would like that :)
<span class=
In October I went to visit my family in Sacramento. I really miss being around all them. It was a lot of fun:

And of course we just went to Cancun. Another great vacation:

Last night we rang in the new year...in the car! This was taken at midnight!

New Addition!

Congrats to my sister-in-law and family on a new baby girl! How exciting! We are thrilled to have a new niece (Ellie). We also are bummed that Chris and I sound awful and he has a fever, so we probably won't meet her for a few days. I can't wait to get my hands on her!
Congrats guys, love you!

Merry Christmas!

I feel like I never blog anymore! I need inspiration!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We really did. Chris spoiled me, and I was all worried he forgot to get me something for Christmas. I even reminded him...which makes me feel dumb looking back! I feel even worse because I got Chris framed photos of us...and he got me so much!

here is our trashed house after we opened gifts....Chris is watching his new Jim Gaffigan DVD from his sister (was a huge hit!)

Cancun

We are home! Since we have been back we have been so busy. We came home late Friday night then worked all day Saturday, had my work Xmas party...then church today and shopping so we had gifts for this week! Our house is a disaster. I still need to unpack :)

We were in Playa Del Carmen for a week. Its close to Cancun where a friend of ours got married. The weather was nice, hotter than we expected for December. We took it easy this vacation, just laying out by the pool or beach or watching HBO in our room...yes we are those nerds who watch movies in our room on vacation :)
We did go snorkeling and shopping and went to a Mexican fiesta event, but for the most part we chilled and hung out with our friends when we could. So fun!!

This is our resort, the beach is just on the other side of the pool:
Me on the pier:
A few pictures of us at the wedding:

Can you believe Christmas is this week?? Ahhh me either! It was so strange to be in hot weather this time of year. It was also really neat to see nativity scenes everywhere in Mexico, that would never happen in the States!

Christmas Lights

Taking pictures of the house was not very easy. Chris got these new 'light show' lights (and snowflakes) and they are constantly changing color. They look very pretty but its easier to see in person!

O Christmas Tree!

Here is a better picture of our tree, in daylight. I feel like it has a bit of an identity problem, but Chris and I like how eclectic it is. It goes real well with all the holly and red and green throughout the house... NOT.

Chris has been so into the Christmas lights this year. I will post that picture later!
Photobucket

Every year I try to make a couple ornaments for the tree. I always say one day we will have a homemade ornament tree for the kids and a fancy tree in a fancy room. One day :)
This year I made one with our Christmas picture on it:

Photobucket

I also made Delilah her ornament. We got her last November, but she was so sick around the holidays we didn't make her ornament because we thought she was going to die. So sad and terrible I know! But she made it and now has her puppy ornament:
